Why Choose Our Glass Juliet Balcony Systems?

Open up your living space, maximize natural light, and breathe fresh air into your home with a premium glass Juliet balcony. Designed to provide essential fall protection for inward-opening French doors and upper-floor windows, our systems perfectly balance architectural elegance with uncompromised safety.

Here is why homeowners, architects, and developers consistently choose our Juliet balconies:

Maximum Light, Zero Obstructions

Traditional bulky iron railings block sunlight and ruin your outward view. Our glass Juliet balconies act as an invisible barrier, flooding your bedrooms and upper-floor living areas with natural light. By replacing solid barriers with crystal-clear glass, you create a seamless connection between your interior space and the outdoors, making your rooms feel significantly larger and brighter.

A Style for Every Facade

Whether you are renovating a period property or designing a contemporary new build, we offer a system engineered to match your aesthetic. Choose the seamlessly frameless Easy View for a sleek, ultra-modern edge; the Button point-fixing system for a striking, floating-glass look; or the Classic top-and-bottom rail system for robust, timeless elegance.

Uncompromised Safety & UK Compliance

When it comes to upper-floor fall protection, safety is our ultimate priority. Every Juliet balcony system we supply is rigorously tested and fully compliant with UK BS 6180 building regulations. We intelligently specify our shatter-resistant, toughened laminated safety glass—ranging from 10mm up to heavy-duty 21.5mm—based precisely on your required opening width (spanning up to an impressive 4000mm).

Juliet Balcony System FAQs

Questions specific to Juliet Balcony systems. View general FAQs →

What's the difference between Easy View, Classic, and Button styles?

Easy View uses thicker glass (13.5mm to 21.5mm depending on width) for maximum transparency with no visible framing. Classic features a traditional frame design, and Button is a contemporary design with minimal framing. All three provide the same safety and fall protection.

Why does glass thickness change based on width?

Wider glass panels need thicker glass to prevent deflection under load. Easy View balconies use progressively thicker glass as width increases: up to 1.8m uses 13.5mm, up to 2.4m uses 17.5mm, and up to 3.5m uses 21.5mm. This ensures optimal strength and safety.

What's the maximum width for a Juliet balcony?

Easy View has a maximum width of 3.5m, while Classic and Button styles can accommodate up to 4m wide openings. For wider applications, the system can be supplied as multiple panels that work together to create a wider opening.

Will my Juliet balcony be split into multiple panels?

Classic and Button styles are automatically split into 2 glass panels if the width exceeds 2000mm. This prevents extremely large single panels and ensures optimal handling and installation. The design makes the panel division visually seamless.

What surfaces can Juliet balconies be mounted on?

Juliet balconies can be installed on timber, masonry, concrete, and stone. They're commonly used on French doors and window openings. Installation requires secure fixing to the building structure. We provide custom installation guidance during the survey phase.

Are Juliet balconies suitable for all window types?

Juliet balconies work with French doors and casement windows. They're ideal for listed buildings and heritage properties where external balconies aren't permitted. The system provides fall protection while maintaining the original exterior appearance.

Do Juliet balconies meet Building Regulations?

Yes, all Juliet balcony systems are designed and tested to meet BS 6180 Building Regulations for fall protection. They provide required safety without compromising the appearance of your property. Suitable for residential and light commercial applications.

Can I upgrade to a full external balcony instead?

Yes! If you have space, we can install external balustrades like our Frameless Channel System → or Post & Glass Systems → Contact us to discuss your options.
